History of all Eventbrite Pricing Increases:
2007 - Present Day (2025)

There is something in the water because 2023 saw some of the biggest pricing jumps in their history as Eventbrite increased their service fee from 3.5% to 3.7% and their per ticket fee from $1.59 to $1.79.
They also upped their credit card processing from 2.5% to 2.9% and removed the US and Canada from their Essentials plan, forcing all North American customers to be on their Professional plan. Surely this would be the only price increase in 2023, right? Eventbrite: Hold my beer.

If early 2023 changes weren't enough, Eventbrite delivered another price increase (the 10th to date) and decided to try a new tactic: monthly fees! Eventbrite's recently increased pricing would now require a monthly fee based on number of attendees.
Eventbrite introduced 2 pricing tiers"Flex" which is a per event fee and "Pro" which is monthly subscription. Eventbrite Flex plan starts at $9.99 per event for up to 100 tickets, then $24.99 per event for up to 250 tickets, and unlimited tickets for $49.99 per event.
Eventbrite Pro offered a monthly subscription starting at $29 per month for up to 100 tickets, $79 per month for up to 250 tickets, and $159 per month for unlimited tickets.
Eventbrite also conveniently removed a policy that refunded Eventbrite's fees in case of cancellation or refund. That's going to leave a mark.

Towards the end of 2023, Eventbrite made some cosmetic changes to how they show their pricing. They introduced a formal free plan that lets you sell tickets for free up to 25 tickets. They also introduced a premium plan as well with a call to action to contact sales. The essentials of their pricing remained unchanged besides some cosmetic changes.

After a disappointing Q3 earnings reporting showing Eventbrite revenue down 5% year over year (and also laying off 100 employees months prior) Eventbrite has changed their pricing, again. Welcome to change number 11. We can hardly keep up over here!
In an attempt to keep customers from jumping ship from their price increases from all the monthly fees, Eventbrite has removed some of their monthly fees for their standard tiers.
However, the monthly fees are not gone, they are just bundled into the Pro tier if you want to send marketing emails through their platform. While this could be seen as a positive change, their per ticketing fees and on site charges are still outrageously expensive.

In early December 2025, Eventbrite was acquired by Italian tech giant Bending Spoons for $500 million dollars. We wrote all about it here.
As these deals often go, event organizers are likely going to see some significant changes to the Eventbrite platform in 2026.
While no changes have rolled out yet, based on both Eventbrite and Bending Spoon's history, event organizers should prepare for the following in 2026:
1.
Potential Price Hikes
2.
Possibility of Disappearing Features
3.
Data Practices Could Shift
4.
Potential Changes in Support
